Privacy Policy

When you create a card, we store the following in our database: the recipient's name, your name (optional), the message text, your chosen card template, and a unique shareable link (slug). This is the minimum needed to deliver the card experience.

If you enter your email address to receive holiday reminders, we store that email in a waitlist table. We do not share it with third parties or send marketing emails beyond the reminders you signed up for.

We do not require account registration. We do not collect passwords, payment card numbers, or government IDs.

Each card is accessible at a unique URL (/p/[slug]). This link is not publicly listed or indexed by search engines. However, anyone who has the link can view the card — so treat your card link as a semi-private URL, like a shared document link.

We set a noindex meta tag on all card pages to prevent search engine indexing.

When you use the AI wish generator, your inputs (recipient name, tone, context) are sent to a third-party AI provider, currently DeepSeek via an OpenAI-compatible API, to generate the message. We do not store your inputs beyond what appears in the final card. The provider's privacy policy applies to data processed by their API.

We advise against entering sensitive personal information into the generator fields.

We use Umami Analytics (self-hosted) to understand how visitors use the site. Umami does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information.

We display Google AdSense ads on some content pages (such as pSEO wish pages). Google may use cookies to serve personalized ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out via Google's ad settings. Card recipient pages (/p/[slug]) do not display any advertisements.

Your card data is stored on Supabase (supabase.com), a cloud database platform. Supabase servers are located in the United States. By using GreetGenius, you consent to your data being processed there.

We do not sell your data to any third party.

We retain card data indefinitely so that shared card links continue to work. If you wish to have your card or email removed, contact us and we will delete it within 14 days.

GreetGenius is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
